Hi babes! 💋 It’s Cherie, and if you know me, you know I love a good adventure. Whether I’m on set, on the road, or just chasing a sunset, I live for experiences that take my breath away. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some incredible places, and a few of these destinations have left a permanent stamp on my heart.
There’s something so raw and beautiful about discovering new parts of the world, especially when you least expect to fall in love with them. So I thought I’d take a little time to share some of my favorite spots, unforgettable moments, and the way travel continues to shape who I am.
Welcome to Cherie DeVille’s travel diaries—this blog’s straight from my heart.

The Destination That Made Me Cry (In the Best Way)
Hands down, the most memorable place I’ve ever been is New Zealand. I still think about it all the time. There’s something unreal about the landscapes there—the lush green countryside, the endless mountains, the kind of beauty that just stops you in your tracks. I remember standing on a cliff, overlooking this wild, untouched valley, and I actually started crying. Yep, tears. It was that beautiful.
And I’m not usually the crying-on-a-mountain type (unless I’ve just finished a brutal hike, let’s be honest). But this? This was different. The energy in New Zealand is unlike anywhere else. It’s peaceful but powerful. Grounded but expansive. You feel so small standing in front of those giant mountain ranges—but in the best, most humbling way possible.
Everything about New Zealand felt like magic. The air was crisp and clean, the stars were brighter than I’d ever seen, and the people were warm and genuine. I even tried some local wine in a tiny vineyard that overlooked the hills—talk about a perfect moment.
If you're ever considering a trip that feeds your soul, go. Just go. I promise you'll never forget it. Pack the hiking boots, the camera, and your sense of wonder. You’ll use all three.
My Travel Philosophy: Go Big or Stay Home
Now, when people ask me for hidden gems or off-the-beaten-path spots, I always smile—because for me, it’s not always about where you go, it’s how you do it.
My advice? If you're going to adventure... adventure. Don’t just dip your toe in—jump all the way in. Go bungee jumping, go shark diving, take the weird trail that looks half sketchy and half magical. Live. Really live.
It doesn’t even have to be some remote island or private beach (though I’m not saying no to these options). Sometimes the most unforgettable moments come from doing something bold in a place you didn’t expect.
I once went skydiving on a whim during a weekend trip, and the high from that moment lasted for weeks. That feeling of flying, of letting go—it changes something in you. And I try to carry that same mindset into everything I do, even when I’m not strapped to a parachute.
Spring Fling Vibes
Spring is probably my favorite season to travel. There’s something about that fresh, light energy that makes you want to explore and soak up every beautiful moment. Plus, after months of being indoors or bundled up, spring feels like freedom.
Whether I’m wandering through tulip fields, biking around a new city, or just lounging poolside with a cocktail, spring always brings those soft, glowing memories I love. One of my favorite spring getaways? A quiet trip through southern France—just me, a book, some wine, and the sun warming my skin. Perfection.
Travel Buddies, Travel Memories
One thing I’ve learned through the years is that who you travel with matters just as much as where you go. I’ve had some amazing solo trips where I reconnected with myself, and I’ve had wild group adventures that were full of laughter, late nights, and ridiculous inside jokes.
And speaking of incredible travel partners... I had the chance to travel with Venus Lux, and let me tell you—it was unforgettable. Venus is not just stunning and talented, she’s also one of the funniest, most down-to-earth people I’ve ever known. We explored, we laughed, and we had some deep, honest talks that still stay with me.
If you ever get the chance to travel with someone who truly sees you—take it. Travel opens up a different part of the heart. It’s like therapy, adventure, and joy all rolled into one.

A Few of My Favorite Things
Since this is my official travel diary, I’ll let you in on a few of my go-to travel essentials and favorite experiences:
Favorite airport snack: trail mix and sparkling water. Boring but reliable.
Favorite travel outfit: comfy sweats, oversized hoodie, and huge sunglasses (classic Cherie travel chic).
Favorite kind of trip: Somewhere that mixes adventure with relaxation. I want to hike and have a spa day. Balance, baby.
Most underrated destination: Portugal! Gorgeous beaches, amazing food, and the kindest people.
Final Thoughts from the Road
Travel, to me, is about more than just planes and postcards. It’s about feeling things fully. Whether I’m standing in a foreign city with nothing but a map and curiosity, or I’m lost in nature somewhere with no signal and no distractions—I’m at my best when I’m exploring.
And honestly? Travel has made me a better person. It’s made me more patient, more compassionate, and more in touch with the world around me. It’s shown me how connected we all are—and how beautiful that connection can be when we really take the time to see it.
So wherever your path takes you—whether it’s a girls' trip, a solo soul-searching escape, or a spontaneous weekend adventure—I hope you give yourself the gift of getting lost once in a while.
Thanks for coming along on this little journey through my favorite memories. And if you’ve got any recommendations for where I should go next, I’m all ears. The world is big and beautiful, and I’m not done exploring yet.
Until next time— XOXO, Cherie DeVille
